Mid Autumn Festival

The Chinese celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival every year. It is during the 7th month of the Lunar New Year (so basically 1/2 year after Chinese New Year). Traditionally the childen have a lantern festival and Mooncakes are the special food of this season.

our Kindergarten also organized a lantern festival. Mine was battery operated and sparkled...

our teacher is explaining the different types of lantern and how to hold them. My class teacher Ms Ang is the one in the red T-shirt.

then we took a tour around our Kindergarten building. Ms Fong our head teacher is leading the way. Can you see me behind her?

Hello Mami! This is fun!

Australian Adventures

We took a holiday to Australia recently. What fun we had!

meeting Mrs Kangaroo for the first time. She was quite a curious one. I actually though it was a Hasi (rabbit) at first, but now I know better. The fur of a roo is very soft.

testing the waters. It was freezing, yet the Australian tough boys still went into the sea for some surfing....brrrrr!

we took a Ducktour around Surfer's Paradise, in the city and then the bus went into the water as a boat. I even got to be in charge for a few minutes!

eating soup like a true Asian!
